The purpose of demos is to give researchers the opportunity to showcase live demonstrations of their contributions related to different image processing applications.

Prospective demo participants should fill out and submit a demo application form which will be included here soon. Proposals for demo sessions will be in the following areas:

  1. Biological and medical imaging
  2. Biometric authentication, face and iris recognition
  3. Content based image retrieval systems
  4. Computer aided diagnosis
  5. Hardware implementation
  6. Image processing for biological systems
  7. Embedded Systems and HW/SW Co-Design
  8. Systems on Chip

 

Demo Submission Guidelines

Demo submissions are due September 1st 15th, 2008. To submit a proposal for a demo, please send email to the Demo Chair: Samir OTMANE, (Samir.Otmane@ibisc.univ-evry.fr ).

  • The title of the proposed demonstration
  • The names of the authors
  • A brief abstract with keywords
  • The name, mailing address, telephone, fax number and email address of the contact author
  • The corresponding area of your demo
  • A one-page storyboard describing your demo
  • o What makes it unique and special?
    o Why will it draw a big crowd?
    o Would your grandma want to see it? Why?
  • Video of the demo (optional)
  • o Video files are recommended to use QuickTime, MPEG, or Windows Media Video encoder, the file size should not exceed 50 Mb
    o Please do NOT send your video by email, send a URL to your video file instead

    In addition, we need the following information for planning the demonstration space:

  • The amount of floor or desktop space needed (length, width, height)
  • The list of equipment you will bring (be as detailed as possible)
  • Networking requirements (beyond the common mail/web access)
  • Any environmental requirements (Does this demonstration require a dark environment? Does it produces or is sensitive to a large amount of noise or light? etc.)
  • After sending an email, you should get a notification that your email has been received.
