·        Research: Robotic assistance to disabled people

Centres of interest

·        Man Machine Co-operation (MMC), Robotic assistance to disabled people, Virtual and enhanced reality, Planning, Navigation, Localisation, Ultrasonic sensors, Vision.

·        Instigator of ARPH project, directed by Etienne Colle.

·        Responsible of the laboratory working group about non metric localisation.

PhD supervision

·        "Mobile robot localisation by vision in indoor environment" - PhD Thesis prepared by Omar Ait Aider.

·        "Human like behaviour implementation for mobile robot piloting" - PhD Thesis prepared by Yves Rybarczyk.

External co-operations

·        IFRATH (Institut Fédératif de Recherche sur les Aides Techniques pour les Personnes Handicapées): Created in 1998 by CEMIF-LSC, AFM and LASC. Groups research laboratories and end-users associations interested by the development of technical assistance for disabled people.
Organised conferences:
      HANDICAP 2000 : Member of organisation committee
      HANDICAP 2002 : Member of scientific committee

·        Rennes 2 University: Interdisciplinary co-operation with Jean-Pierre Gaillard, ergonom in Cognition and human/machine co-operation team of experimental psychology laboratory for MMC evaluation.

·        Cognitive Neuroscience Research Centre: Interdisciplinary co-operation with Daniel Mestre, research director in CNRS. Thesis of Yves Rybarczyk with co-direction (D. Mestre - E. Colle) related to ARPH project.

Responsabilities

·        Elected to laboratory committee.

·        Elected to specialists commission of the university of Evry.

·        EEA club: Member of international relationships commission of French EEA club. In charge of foreign students reception at PhD level in France.
